To the official "Duna International Folk Dancers" website!
Margaret Strickland started Duna in 2005, She named the group after The Danube River in Hungary. The river Dunea (Dunaj, Dunarea or Dunau) passes through most of the countries represented in Duna's repetoire. Currently, the group performs dances primarily from Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria and they wear traditional costumes prepared personally by Margaret. Group members come from varies parts of the world to perform these rich traditional dances!
If you have ever had a desire to learn Folk Dancing, now is your opportunity. No experience is necessary, you'll be dancing before the night is through! Contact Margaret for more information at (801)363-1449.
Folk Dancers Night
The first Saturday of each month, the community of folk dancers have a fun filled night of dancing with the Zivio band! Their is a $5.00 donation. You're welcome to bring a potluck to share or just come prepared to Dance. The night begins with a half hour of dance lessons at 7:30p.m. Then dancing continues until 10:30p.m. Located at:
